Capstone Research Essay
Capstone Project: To demonstrate your understanding of the themes and settings found in African American literature:
- Write a research-based analytical essay applying a historical, sociological, or cultural perspective to one of the novels you've read this semester.
- Meet and discuss your proposed ideas with your instructor.
- Create a secondary research annotated bibliography to bolster your analysis.
- Create a preliminary draft for peer evaluation.
- Your essay needs to follow the format, language, and conventions of academic writing. Provide MLA citations for all sources.
- Finally, create a presentation based on your essay, which you will deliver in April at the SEH Student Conference.
