Fake News

This guide has been designed to give you a quick introduction to the subject of fake news. The first section will:

• Define and explain fake news,
• Explore some of its history, 
• Identify some different types of misleading posts,
• Provide examples of how fake news has real-world impacts, and,
• Discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) assists in the creation and spread of misinformation.

The second section will teach you some quick factchecking skills. By the time you've reached this end of this short course, you will know some strategies to help you quickly determine whether or not a news article or social media post is reliable. You can even test your skills with a quiz!
