Mindfulness at Midlands

According to McLean Hospital of Harvard University, “Although mindfulness has been practiced for nearly two thousand years, it has only been incorporated more into mental health treatments in recent years. Research has found that areas of the brain associated with mind-wandering, learning, memory, and anxiety can change within a few weeks of starting a mindfulness practice.” At this MTC Reads session, join MTC professors Candyce Antley (Nursing) and Rhonda Grego (English) to further explore what the practice of mindfulness can bring to your daily life.
